Lady Jane Grey: Her Life & Times

Lady Jane Grey was born between spring and Oct 1537 at her family home of Bradgate Park. Her father was Henry Grey, the marquess of Dorset and his marchioness Frances Brandon. Frances was the daughter of Mary Rose Tudor, making her the granddaugther of Henry VII and the niece of Henry VIII, this would make Lady Jane Henry VIII's great-niece.

Can one or both of these two paintings be the real face of Lady Jane Grey? Top: Many months ago historian Stephan Edwards found a painting he believes to be Jane in her lifetime, read more about it here - The Eworth Painting. Submitted by Dr. Stephan Edwards - Please Do Not Use. Bottom: Found in a house in Streatham, UK by art dealer Christopher Foley (see article links), it has been bought by the National Portrait Gallery for £100,000, and has been deemed with reasonable certainty to be a copy, painted no earlier then 1593, of an original one of Lady Jane done in her lifetime.
